Range Metals Inc. Announces Appointments

Vancouver, B.C. – Range Metals Inc. is pleased to announce the engagement of Garth Edgar, the principal of VenturePlus Partners, to provide financial, accounting, administration and governance support services to Range Metals. Mr. Edgar will occupy the position of Vice President, Corporate Affairs and act as non-Director member of the Audit Committee for Range Metals. He will also be appointed Chief Financial Officer of Range Gold Corp., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Range. Mr. Peter Mueller, Director of Range Metals, has also agreed to act as Director of Range Gold Corp.

The Corporate Management Agreement between Range Metals and VenturePlus Partners for provision of Mr. Edgar’s services is drawn for an initial term of one year commencing September 20, 2007, extendable by agreement between the parties. The Agreement may be terminated at any time by either party upon 30 days’ written notice to the other party.

Concurrently with its engagement as a service provider, Garth Edgar has been granted incentive stock options entitling him to purchase 300,000 shares of Range Metals at a per share price of $1.00 for a term of five years (subject to earlier termination in accordance with the terms of the Corporate Management Agreement and Range’s 2005 Stock Option Incentive Plan), vesting in stages over the term. R. Brian Murray, a Director of Range Metals, has also been granted additional stock options entitling him to purchase 200,000 shares of Range Metals at an exercise price of $1.00 under similar terms.
