RANGE ELECTS NEW DIRECTORS & EXPLORATION UPDATE

Vancouver, B.C. – Range Metals Inc. (“Range” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that Mr. John G. F. McLeod and Mr. Roger Bethell have been appointed directors of Range Oil & Gas Inc., the 100 % owned subsidiary of Range.

Mr. McLeod is an Engineer with Resource Extraction experience specializing in corporate management. He has over 35 years experience in the International oil & gas management and exploration and development business, with specific areas of expertise in joint venture and project development, international and domestic oil and gas operations as well as production and reservoir engineering. He obtained his B.Sc. Medical Engineering at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

Mr. Bethell is a Geologist with over 40 years of experience. He has served on the board of a number of public corporations including Brittany Energy and is currently the President and Director of Paramax Resources Ltd. which trades on the TSX-V. Mr. Bethell received his B.Sc. in 1965.

Furthermore, Mr. Robert Brian Murray has been elected Director and Chief Financial Officer to the Board of Directors of Range.

Mr. Murray has been the President of Murcon Ltd., a private financial consulting company involved in merchant banking since 1990, which is located in Toronto, Ontario. He is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Masters degree in Business Administration. Mr. Murray has also been a director and Chief Financial Officer of several junior public companies including Alarm Force Industries Inc. and Sea Green Capital Corp.

The Company is proceeding with its exploration program on all of its Northern Ontario properties situated south East of Kenora, Ontario, (see news release dated November 30, 2006). This is proximate to Rainy River Resources’ recent discovery (see Rainy River news release dated November 9, 2006).

Further to its news release of December 7, 2006, the Company has incorporated an oil & gas exploration subsidiary, Range Oil & Gas (North Iraq) Inc. It is the intent to negotiate oil & gas interests and obtain exploration concessions in Mauritania, as well as Northern Iraq.
